Rascal Flatts is a country music group made up of Gary LeVox (lead vocalist), Jay DeMarcus (bassist), and Joe Don Rooney (electric guitarist). Upon getting a record deal with Lyric Street Records, the group released their first album, Rascal Flatts, which would climb up to the 3 spot on the U.S. country albums chart.

The group’s next album, Melt, would peak at 5 on the U.S. albums charts and 1 on the U.S. country albums charts. Rascal Flatts, next two albums, Feels Like Today and Me and My Gang, both debuted at 1 on both the U.S. general and country music charts.

In 2003, the Rascal Flatts would find themselves waist deep in controversy, stemming from their controversial music video for I Melt, off of their Melt album. Some fans objected to the music video, which contained brief nudity of model Christina Auria in some sensual scenes with group member, Rooney.

While such a music video would hardly cause a stir on MTV or VH1, being showcased on the more conservative CMT and Great American Country music channels, the video inevitably brought the group much notoriety. The Melt album would garner the Rascal Flatts their first No. 1 country single, These Days.

In 2005, the group performed their hit single Bless the Broken Road live with contestant Carrie Underwood, on the popular television program American Idol. That same song was nominated for three Grammy awards including Song of the Year, Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, and Best Country Song. The group would take home the Grammy award for Best Country Song.

The song Sweet Home Alabama by Southern rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd (pronounced Leh-Nerd Skin-Nerd) is one of the most popular and controversial rock songs in history. The song first appeared on the bands second album, Second Helping in 1974. Sweet Home Alabama was the bands first hit single, reaching the top ten of the US charts in 1974.

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s hit song makes references to the songs Southern Man and Alabama by Neil Young, defending Young’s statements in those song’s lyrics regarding the South’s racism in their historical treatment of black people. Despite popular belief, there was no rivalry or feud between the artist– more so the opposite, in mutual respect for each other.

In addition to the songs defense of the south, the song contains some controversial political references, mainly a verse in the song that possibly references segregationist George Wallace. Whether or not the true intent of the verse by the song’s writers was to support racism has been debated on both sides of the argument. The National Review ranked the song number four on its list of 50 greatest conservative rock songs in May of 2006.

Sweet Home Alabama remains a staple on Classic rock radio stations as well as other forms of media and pop culture. Movies that included the song on its sound track include 2003’s remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Con Air – starring Nicholas Cage, rapper Eminem’s movie 8 Mile, Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks, the Paramount Pictures action movie Sahara, comedy Joe Dirt, and The Girl Next Door starring Elisha Cuthbert. The song name was even used for the title of a movie starring Reece Witherspoon.

It is often hard to find good sites for ipod MP3 Music is not always easy. Many sites just dont have the selection of MP3 music that would fulfill your needs. People have been downloading MP3 music to their Ipods for years and the number of sites for ipod MP3 music keeps on growing.

If you have been searching for ipod MP3 downloads and ways to get them there are many choices. With Ipod music downloads, there are more ways you can enjoy your ipod. You can listen to songs, watch movies, download pictures, play pod casts, and much more. Downloading music can bring hours of enjoyment and fun while traveling, relaxing or even while waiting for an appointment at the doctors office.

Some sites charge up to two dollars or more per ipod MP3 download. This can get quite expensive. I recommend you find a site that offers a one-time membership fee. These sites usually have unlimited downloads for life with a premium membership. This is almost like getting free ipod music. There are many sites out there to choose from. I have placed a banner and a link at the top of my site for the top rated site for ipod MP3 Music.

Most ipods come with a 2.5-inch screen for you to view. This works great using a small head set for sound. It is not bulky and you can watch your movie or music video from just about anywhere. Most sites will even offer your favorite TV programs from the major networks.

One of the coolest things that the ipod videos downloads can bring you is the option to download music videos. Now you can listen to your favorite music and watch the music video at the same time. The site at the top of my site offers over 100 million ipod movies, music videos, as well as MP3 Music. This gives you a lot to choose from.

The ipod site most recommended, is one were you can do all of your downloading for music, music videos, and ipod movie downloads. Their database has over 100 million movies songs and music videos to download and choose from. You can store the downloads on your pc and save them. Then I would recommend you upload different selections to your ipod as needed. Give yourself a change of pace from time to time.

Once your ipod music, movies, and music videos are downloaded to your pc, you can make DVDs and CDs or watch them from your computer or TV. Youll need software and hardware to do this. In order to create your DVD, youll need to have a DVD burner on your pc. To watch either videos or play music you can choose from many different players on your pc. I recommend either windows media player or real player. They both work quite well.

This will give you the advantage to preview the ipod music and movies before you download them to your ipod. With over 100 million videos and songs to choose from you can have them with you now on your laptop and ipod. The ipod is an easy way to quickly watch and listen without all of the bulk of a laptop. If you havent found a quality site, I highly recommend the unlimited ipod movie downloads site link at the top of my website.

When you find a good site like the one I have reviewed you can have all the ipod MP3 Music at your finger tips for years to come with out spending money over and over again.

Please visit some of my other sites Ipod Mp3 and Ipod Mp3 Downloads

Nelly remains one of America’s most popular rappers. Born in Austin, Texas and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Iral Haynes, Jr., achieved mainstream success thanks to mega hits such as Country Grammar, Ride Wit Me, Hot in Herre, Dilemma, and Grillz.

In 2002, Nelly received two Grammy’s for Best Male Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, a reward he shared with Kelly Rowland for Dilemma. That same year, he was ranked 39 on Entertainment Weekly’s 2002 101 Most Powerful List, while also being included in Teen People’s 25 Hottest Stars under 25 issue for the second year in a row.

Two years later, Nelly would obtain his third Grammy for Shake Ya Tailfeather, which featured Murphy Lee & P. Diddy. All of Nelly’s songs are published by BMG Music Publishing. Nelly has ventured into other trades outside of the music industry. He took a stab at acting starring in a re-make of The Longest Yard, which also starred Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, and Burt Reynolds.

Nelly is also an entrepreneur, having started two clothing lines, Vokal for men and Apple Bottoms for women. In addition, he is a co-sponsor of Pimp Juice, a non-carbonated sports energy drink. He is also part owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, a budding NBA expansion team. Nelly also has a deal with Reebok, which manufactures his own signature sneakers Derrty One.

Most of us have heard of the power of being consistent in our guitar practice. You know what I mean. Practicing something EVERY day until mastered. But do you do this? I know that in the past, I definitely didnt…

When I first started playing I was a maniac! I had no real structure to my practice. I just put in the hours and hoped that I got better. And I did! But there was a problem. I practiced something different almost every day. My practice schedule changed from one day to the next. This created two major negative side effects…

1. Sore hands. For example, I would often go so berserk on alternate picking exercises that my picking wrist would get incredibly sore. It would be so sore that I couldnt practice alternate picking the next day. So what did I do? I then went crazy with legato exercises. So much so that I wouldnt be able to practice legato the next day. So I went back to my trusty alternate picking. Mmmm…theres a pattern emerging here.

2. Slower Progress. Now, dont get me wrong. I progressed faster than any of my friends. But I definitely dont think I progressed at my fastest possible rate. If I had practiced less on an exercise, but did it EVERY day I think my progress would have been much faster.

I guess the moral of the story is to temper your enthusiasm with intelligence. Lets look at how to start to be more consistent with your practice…

***Step One***

Decide on something that you would like to master. Make it something short like a lick, scale or perhaps a few bars of a song.

***Step Two***

Decide on a speed goal for the thing that you have chosen. This will be your target tempo. Make it challenging. Something that will make you a significantly better player once you have achieved it. Of course, you need to keep in mind your current playing level. If you are a beginner and you set a speed goal of sixteenth notes at 240bpm, you are definitely setting yourself up for a failure!

***Step Three***

Decide on how much time youll invest practicing the thing that you have chosen. I would recommend setting a goal of 10-15 minutes a day. A small amount done daily will give you better results than hours done irregularly.

***Step Four***

Make a commitment to practice what you have chosen on a daily basis. The key is to practice it every single day until your speed goal has been reached. No excuses,no crying, no moaning, no exceptions.

***Step Five***

Get to work! This is the step that requires discipline. It could take weeks or months to achieve your speed goal! Just keep in mind that anyone can write down a goal, but unfortunately VERY few people will follow it though to completion. Thats probably why there are so many more guitar OWNERS than guitar PLAYERS

I invite you to try this approach to guitar practice. Ive found that it really helps me, and Im sure youll benefit from it as well!

He was formerly one-half of a popular Houston duo, The Color Changin’ Click, next to long-time partner Chamillionaire.

Before arriving on the rap scene as a full-fledged Southern rapper, Wall was a street team member on the Northwest side of Houston, promoting southern artists such as T.I. and labels like Cash Money and The New No Limit. Wall was known for his skills as a mixtape and party DJ, producing mixtapes in the screwed & chopped style that was invented by the late DJ Screw.

After several mixtape and independent releases, including the well-received Get Ya Mind Correct, Wall and his long-time music partner, Chamillionaire, would split up. Wall would eventually debut with his own album, The People’s Champ, which includes popular singles, Sittin’ Sidewayz., They Don’t Know, and Girl. The album would go on to receive certified platinum status.

In August 2005, rumors cropped up that Wall and Chamillionaire had settled their differences and were on good terms with each other. In 2006, Wall married his long time girlfriend, Crystal Slayton. On April 18, 2006, Crystal gave birth to their first child, William Fat Patrick Slayton.

Paul Wall is also the owner and proprietor of Grillz by Paul Wall in Houston, an online store that specializes in the production of grills, silver, gold, or platinum caps and diamond inlays. His grills product was also the focus of the rap song, Grillz, by Nelly, which featured Wall and rappers, Gipp & Ali. Wall’s new album, Get Money, Stay True is scheduled to be released in fall of 2006.

Salsa dancing has a very distinct dance style. It has a pattern step style encompassing six steps that are danced over eight counts in a musical beat.

Salsa is the combination of many cultural genres including Afro-Caribbean and Latin sounds.

Although the exact origin of salsa cannot be interpreted, many believe that Cubans created this explosive dance style that has won the world over. It is in this place where Contra-Danze or country dance of England and France later known as Danzon that was brought over by the French who had fled from Haiti. Their experience with the French music traditions and the distinctive drum beat influences of Rhumbas of Africa and partner dance style helped influence the development of the very distinctive salsa style of music and dance that we are all familiar with today.

However, regardless of who originally founded salsa, it’s collaborative cultural flavor of Afro-Caribbean and Latin influences have been successful in making it one of the most popular dance and music styles recognized all over the world.

Salsa dance moves are very distinct. Salsa moves more from side to side, putting much emphasis on turns, which are carefully synchronized with the strategic side stepping of the dancer.

Although the countries I just mentioned have helped influence salsa dance and music, several other countries have also influenced it like Columbia, Puerto Rico the Dominican, Mexico and several other Latin American countries.

Many bands from these countries took their music to Mexico City during the famous film era and then later brought their musical style to New York where it started a movement through cultures that had never heard this unique style of music, or seen this magical and explosive dance style. New York picked up salsa music and dance almost instantly which helped to promote the salsa movement but New York was also the city that coined it as salsa.

If you listen to salsa music carefully, you will hear influences of Merengue, Cha Cha, Mambo and several other Latin American and African musical styles. You’ll hear many of the classic old-styles built into the salsa rhythms.

Salsa’s evolution has been explosive and only continues to evolve!

Want to learn how to dance to salsa music? Learn the easy steps by visiting www.salsadancedvd.com. This is the best site on the web for learning how to dance salsa. Taught by real professional salsa dancers. It’s toxic!

Anyone lover of gadgets and portable electronics knows what an Ipod is – and in fact, many people who have no interest in personal electronics know exactly what they are. With over 21 million units shipped, and over 75 per cent of the personal Digital Audio Player (DAP) market worldwide, it’s no surprise – Apple Computer Inc. has become the 800-lb. gorilla of portable music players.

What most people don’t know is the variety of alternatives to the Ipod – devices which can play music, videos, and more, and which accept Secure Digital (SD) cards, Compact Flash, and Memory Sticks, and replaceable (or rechargeable) AAA batteries, often for a lower price than a comparable Ipod. The iRiver devices offered by South Korean manufacturer Reigncom range from small players intended to hang on a keychain or as wearable jewelry style devices to full-fledged hard-drive based units pointed squarely at the Ipod’s market.

SanDisk (a maker of Secure Digital flash memory) offers the Sansa series of MP3 players, with the distinction of being able to accept the same SD cards as many digital cameras, offering additional storage options and the flexibility to swap music collections without long transfer times. Some of Samsung’s YP series of MP3 players offer a miniscule size, picture viewer and LCD monitor, all at a lower price than many competing units.

Although there are a variety of choices, one major reason for the Ipod’s dominance is the sheer irresistibility of its marketing. The unit is sleek and simple, stylized yet understated, much like the rest of Apple’s product offerings. For many Ipod owners, the device is a fashion accessory as much as a technological device – when walking down the street, the trademark white earbuds are clearly visible even from some distance.

So visible in fact that they have become an easy target for some muggers – but many Ipod owners would sooner risk robbery than trade in their favorite fusion of fashion accessory and music player. Many people find that a particular device simply suits their tastes better than all the rest, but in many cases, one device isn’t necessarily better than all of the others, only different and with more or fewer features. The selection of manufacturers and models presently available offers as wealth of choices for any portable audio lover, whether replacing an existing device or entering the world of digital audio for the first time.

Panic! at the Disco is a pop rock/electronica band based out of Las Vegas, Nevada. The band is comprised of Brendon Urie (vocals, guitar, keyboard) and his childhood friend, Spencer Smiths (drums), along with their schoolmate, Ryan Ross (guitar, keyboard, backing vocals).

To promote their music, the band made contact with Pete Wentz (of Fall Out Boy) via his LiveJournal webpage. Impressed by the band, Wentz personally met with the band and signed them to his imprint label Decaydance. Under the label, the band released their debut album, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, which would debut at 112 on the Billboard 200 album charts.

Featured in Spin magazine as their band of the day in early October 2005, reaching 1 on the MySpace chart, and consistently staying in PureVolume’s Top 10 chart, would only help grow the band’s popularity. An appearance on MTV’s TRL on January 17, 2006, at the premier of their music video for I Write Sins Not Tragedies, also helped garner the band much publicity.

To date, the band’s 2005 debut album, A Fever you Can’t Sweat Out has sold over 750,000 units. The band is currently headlining a North American summer tour with The Dresden Dolls and The Hush Sound, a band also signed to Decaydance.
